About Mr. Scanlon
After spending thirty years in law enforcement, Stephen R. Scanlon retired from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office in August of 2022. At the time of his retirement Mr. Scanlon held the rank of Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Investigations.
Mr. Scanlon began his law enforcement career with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. While employed with the SCSD, Mr. Scanlon spent several years assigned to the Boston Police Department, working closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Massachusetts State Police and several other law enforcement agencies.
Mr. Scanlon has received numerous awards and citations for his dedication to the citizens of Massachusetts, including the "George L. Hanna Recognition Award."
Also, Mr. Scanlon has provided critical testimony at the Probate Court, Superior Court, Federal Court, and Grand Jury level in many high-profile cases.
He chose to refocus his sights and founded Scanlon Investigations Group (SIG). SIG is a licensed and bonded private investigations agency. SIG provides litigation support to the legal community in Child Custody/Family Law, Civil and Criminal proceedings.
SIG develops factual information obtained through comprehensive investigations conducted by experienced investigators with over 75 years of law enforcement experience.
SIG investigators are experienced and provide support in the areas of Infidelity, Alimony, Cohabitation, Child Custody Disputes, Criminal and Civil Investigations, Photographic and Video Surveillance, Witness and Asset Locates, Witness Statements, and “Executive” Protection.
